WAOA: A Tale Of A General

First topic message reminder :

-A portal opens in the middle of nowhere. A rover moves through and looks around for a few seconds. This is followed by a man in CADPAT gear, who doesn't look older than 21, weirdly. He looks around, hefting his SCAR-A1 assault rifle.-

General Scott Mitchell: Well... not sure where we are, but the air's breathable. -reaches for radio- This is Mitch, we're A-okay. The rover's not lying, we've got an inhabitable environment here. Let's get our stuff through.

(OoC: Unlike the last RP I started, anyone can join.)

Cirno took back into the air, then lightly touched down to avoid the whiplash. "You may want to open your wings earlier next time. Otherwise... splat. You okay?"

Mitch dusted himself off. "I'm fine." With that, he floated up leisurely. "Though my feet hurt now. Still... that was totally fucking worth it."

"If you like being stoned... er, being a stone. Right, the tree!" She flied up and headed for it.

Mitch ascended for the tree and perched on its tip. He then aimed the SCAR and basically struck a badass pose.

Cirno looked up at him, lovingly and hit the tree, sliding down it comically. "...So.... worth... it..." X_X

Mitch dropped from the tree and walked over.

"Cirno, you okay?"

Cirno was effectively hugging the tree, and unconscious. "Dizzy..."

Mitch sighed. "Oh, Cirno..." He propped her up onto his back and began to fly back to base.

Cirno lightly drooled on Mitch, if she's facing his back, anyway. "mmm..."

Mitch sighed to himself in mild frustration. Cirno wasn't going to be up for a long time.

Cirno opened her eyes and hugged Mitch. "I only hit my... body! I'm fine!"

And with that, Mitch stopped. "Can you fly?"

"My front was hurt, not my back. Though could I rest for a bit. I'm a little tired..."

"Alright." Mitch brought them down into a small clearing and laid Cirno down.

-Elsewhere-

A group of four people walked through the forest, weapons aimed. They were very rag-tag.

"Anything in here?" one of them asked.

"Nothing. Thank God." was the reply from another.

Cirno smiled and decided to take a nap.

"Yeah, we have to be careful." She held her gun up high.

Mitch laid down next to her and was pretty soon napping.

One man - a thin, lanky man carrying a large sniper rifle - looked over to the girl. "So... Lilith, what do you make of this place?"

"It's quite interesting, to say the least. Although I do think there could be more animals around."

Roland immediately piped up. "I take offense to that. Every god-damned animal we've seen so far - the skags, the spiderants, the drifters - all of them have tried to kill us!" Mordecai nodded. "Sorry Lilith, I have to agree. It's nice to not have something to shoot for a change."

"...I meant like squirrels or something!" Lilith sighed. Jeez... these people can't think of them as anything but monsters...

((I hope I'm playing Lilith okay. I've never played Borderlands or whatever. I know zip about it.))

With that, the rest of the team were stunned into silence. "Sorry, Lilith. After all the shit that's gone on at Pandora, it's difficult to remove that picture." Mordecai was quick to apologize.

(Just remember: she's a Siren, which means she has some control over the elements. She prefers any gun that's elemental. The four elements are fire, electricity, acid, and explosives.)

"It's fine. We all have different thoughts" She chuckled a little and smirked, brandishing her gun, filled with fire bullets.

For now, the four continued their stroll. Brick himself wasn't much of a talker, but then again he never was.

Mitch woke up. That was a damn good nap.

"Mmmm... I feel a lot better, Mitchy..."

Yep, Lilith followed them.

Mitch smiled. "That's good."

Mordecai held up a hand. "Anyone hear that?"

Roland stopped. "Hear what?"

Mordecai turned. "Humans."

"Let's be careful, then!" Lilith shouted.

"So... now what?"

Mitch grabbed his SCAR and aimed it into the forest. "I just heard something." He moved into the forest.

Mordecai facepalmed. "Dammit Lilith, that's the opposite of what we should do!" But before he could say anything else, he noticed the soldier. He was in almost full armor - save for a helmet - and carrying a rifle that looked like something Roland would pick off of the Bruisers. There was a small red laser aiming at him. And with that, the rest of the team raised their guns.

The man lowered his gun as a rocket launcher, machine gun, and sniper were pointed into his face. "Aww... shit."
