WAOA: A Tale Of A General

First topic message reminder :

-A portal opens in the middle of nowhere. A rover moves through and looks around for a few seconds. This is followed by a man in CADPAT gear, who doesn't look older than 21, weirdly. He looks around, hefting his SCAR-A1 assault rifle.-

General Scott Mitchell: Well... not sure where we are, but the air's breathable. -reaches for radio- This is Mitch, we're A-okay. The rover's not lying, we've got an inhabitable environment here. Let's get our stuff through.

(OoC: Unlike the last RP I started, anyone can join.)

"True, true. That was quite a feat!" Lilith smiled. "But that's in the past now, Mordy."

Mordecai nodded. "As are the three bandit lords, the Rakk Hive, Dr. Zed and his little zombie apocalypse, Mad Moxxi, General Knoxx, and the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap."

((None of which I know of Out of Character. That's why I avoid playing characters I know absolutely nothing about.))

"True, true. Heh. But hey, they're not here at the moment, right?"

Mordecai nodded. "You're right on that one Lilith. Sledge is dead at Headstone Mine, Mad Mel is in the wreck of his Monster, Baron Flynt is wherever he is, the Destroyer is still at the Vault, Dr. Zed is at Jakobs Cove, Knoxx's remains are vaporized, and chances are the INAC is still in Fyrestone. But other than that, yeah, they aren't here now."

"Which means we can enjoy ourselves!" Lilith said with a laugh.

"We should join the party now, Mitchy." Cirno got off him and went to shower and such.

Mordecai smiled. "That's a pretty good point, that is, if we're invited..."

Mitch showered after Cirno was finished.

Cirno dressed herself in something fairly casual. "You know what the best part about having magical wings is? They don't affect your clothes!"

"...Good point."

Mitch smiled at that. "Agreed. They've got no counters to the magic either."

Mordecai nodded. "I think he'll invite us, don't worry."

"Oh, I just was referring to the disneeding of wing holes, that's all."

"Excellent." Lilith nodded.

Mitch nodded. "That too. Plus, like I said, nobody has a counter to what we've got. In all essence, we're safe."

With that, Mordecai returned to sniping.

"Quite true, Mitchy, quite true."

Lilith shrugged and practiced some more.

After a few hours, Mitch and the rest of the Vault Hunters were at the party. Mitch had taken that time to chat with them and was currently swapping war stories with Roland. Mitch was suprised to hear he was a former mercenary: but then again, the Hunters were all mercs, so he really didn't care that much.

Lilith and Cirno just made lots of small talk, with the latter making light innuendos here and there.

-Shortly after the talk...-

Mordecai nodded. "Anyways, we think you could be able to set up something like a forward operating base on Pandora."

Mitch was awestruck. "I've played Borderlands, I don't need to see Pandora to confirm that it's a hell-world."

Brick chose that moment to be smart. "Actually, we're still getting ECHONet communication. We're still on Pandora... just not in the desert section."

Mitch was even more awestruck. "Guess this counts, eh Mordecai?"

Mordecai nodded. "Yeah... guess so."

"...Well, that just makes it worse." Lilith replied.

"Eh, I don't find the place that bad." Cirno chimed in.

And then Mordecai laughed. "Really? Come to the desert part, the wild-life is stupidly hungry. I'm actually surprised that there's a grassy part of Pandora at all. I guess that we just stumbled upon a nice place. Maybe this thing is on a moon... it's not impossible for a New-U Station to go between moves. Hyperion made them powerful."

Mitch nodded. And then Roland walked up to him. "In Borderlands, what did you spec me in?" Mitch replied, "Infantry tree first, then Support. To hell with health, as long as I can deal damage and get ammo for myself."

(Actually, that is my plan. Roland's Infantry tree just serves to increase the damage he deals with weapons and Support is supposed to help him with ammo stuff.)
