You know me and my obsession with Pokemon. Obviously this was going to happen.

So, who wants those Ruby and Sapphire Remakes?

It's hard to pick a favor8 from the new ones for me. There are so many I like. I'll w8 til I've gotten to use more of them in game 8efore I decide for sure, at least when it comes to using them.

Heck it's even hard to pick one 8ased on looks 8ecause there is so much cuteness.

Indeed. Aside from the different combinations of types--an Electric/Ground type, a Ghost/Water type, and a Fire/Bug type as examples--they really outdid themselves in the cuteness department for this generation. Though I do like some Pokemon who aren't cute but rather pretty cool.

And I already have seven badges. Currently, I'm level-grinding several Pokemon until I can face the eighth Gym Leader. It's not about the whole thing about my team being weaker than Drayden's (especially since I have a Lv. 50 Haxorus and a Lv. 50 Japanese Samurott I got from a GTS trade when it was an Oshawott), it's all about equalling their levels to one another. It's kinda hard to choose a team, though, since there are so many Pokemon I like.

It helps that they're all new pokemon.(expies aside) I mean, you could count a completely small list of pokemon that some players didn't like, one topping the list is the Garbage pokemon... for obvious reasons.

As crazy as it sounds, I don't mind Trubbish and Garbodor too much. Mainly because of their hold items--Black Sludge and a Nugget. I think they, or one of them, holds a Big Nugget.

The funny thing is that Grimer and Muk often hold them... except that usually have that damn Sticky Hold ability.

I just think that if you have to resort to Garbage for new ideas... you're really running out of them.

Their names certainly don't help. Trubbish... really? Garbodor isn't so bad. That one sounds clever. Not as bad as Woobat and... Swoobat for evolution names, though. That one was almost as bad as Lickylicky name-wise. But eh.

As expies of Grimer and Muk, the Trubbish line also have Sticky Hold. Luckily, you can get rid of it by either using Skill Swap or Gastro Acid. Or have a Pokemon with the Mold Breaker ability use Thief.

I had yet to encounter a Garbodor with Sticky Hold, however.

I'm not really fond of the gar8age Pokemon, then again I was never the 8iggest fan of Grimer/Muk either. And it's not due to 8eing 8ased on something odd; after all it's also odd to 8ase a Pokemon on an ice cream cone and Vanillite is adora8le.

And Stunfisk is kind of........ derpy looking, like something from that Pokemon Quartz romhack. Interesting type com8ination though and I might enjoy using it in game.

    Then what's the reason?

And yeah, a lot of poison pokemon often get based off of something not very savory. Some are interesting, like the snakes(till Gen V) and Koffing/Weezing(besides the Punny Name) actually work.

As for Poison types, I like several of the dual-type ones (especially the 8ug/poison ones and the Gastly line), and the snakes, and I think Koffing is actually sort of cute. And I like Gulpin, I don't know -why- 8ut I do.

And I don't know, the sludge/gar8age things just aren't appealing to me in general.

I liked the ones based off of concepts(plus, I love snakes in general) more to... the generic slime. Which is all Grimer and Muk are. Concepts are a lot more fun than gross ideas like Garbage. Also, Trubbish really felt like a bad name since it's just Trash and Rubbish. Do we really want that kind of an opinion of a Pokemon? The evolution atleast wasn't bad in that sense.

And yeah, Gulpin was neat. I liked a lot of the different concepts they did in Gen III, gimmicky or not.(Plusle and Minun, for example) Now if only those Pokemon replaced the Geodudes/Golbats/Tentacools in Gen III and Gen IV.(HeartGold and SoulSilver withstanding, since half of it is Kanto, where the old pokemon showing up is Justified)

Me, I found Gulpin okay. It's kinda cute, but...eh.

I'm more of liking the Bulbasaur line, myself, when it comes to half-Poison-types.

I never was a fan of the common type combinations. Normal/Flying, Bug/Flying, Poison/Grass, Poison/Flying, Dragon/Flying. I liked the lesser used ones. Except Fire/Fighting, mostly when it was re-used twice in a freakin' row.(atleast skip a generation of it, GameFreak!)

Three times, actually. And it's not that bad of a combination, I think. I've yet to get the Tepig line, but I've already maxxed out the Torchic and Chimchar lines.

I meant repeated twice. The first in D/P/Pt, atleast the other two had type combinations that work off of it. However, this didn't happen in Gen V, making it feel lazy.(not to say that the Tepig line's reasoning wasn't understandable for their evolutions, but they could've saved that for Gen VI)

Some updates from the last time in Pokemon Black.

    • Managed to get a Terrakion. With a little bit under half health. Using only one Ultra Ball. And it wasn't a Critical Capture, nor did it get frozen by Samurott's Ice Beam.

    • Defeated the Elite Four, N, and Ghetis Dennis. Noticed how the last boss' song is pretty damn Narmy, thanks to that meme.

    • Before the Elite Four, I managed to level Larvesta up to Level 59. Of course, most of my Pokemon were ten levels higher than the Elite Four's strongest Pokemon.

    • Captured Reshiram prior to N's battle, and it didn't take long at all. Come to think of it, with Victini being the exception, most of my Legendary Pokemon captures don't take long. Like 15-20 minutes at the most. Keep in mind that most of them have a Capture Rate of 3.

And now the Global Link's up, but you probably know that already. The problem is not getting to that Dream World. I always start at 0%, and it never goes up. Same goes with its promotions page, news, and the like.

Yeah, I'd like to know why most Legendaries are easier to capture than regular pokemon.(discounting ones required to continue the story. That's justified)

I mean... why make them easy to capture when you come back later for them anyway? That's the fun of it. Mind you, Pokeballs also seem to be pretty effective in this Gen. I've caught pokemon with 25% half left with a pokeball in Black extremely often. Not so easily in White, however...

Also, in White, I'm carrying around 3 Lillipups with Pickup just so I can get some cash early on. Plus, extra balls. I need more balls! *shifty eyes*

I guess, for me, it's luck.

And I still have problems with the Pokemon Dream World... :/

I wonder what's wrong with it. It isn't because it's busy...

Also, for guys who won an Eeveelution with that hard-as-hell game, keep in mind that they won't appear until May 5th, when the game will be taken down.

EDIT: Used the PDW for a few days now. It's going great, and I've befriended some Pokemon. Too bad that not only you have to make a choice between the many Pokemon, but the ones you don't choose? Gone...

Sorry to double-post, but I figured I should ask this: who has been in the Pokemon Global Link and the Dream World?

I've been there, and, well, I'm doing pretty decently. Wishing that there won't be that limit of 50 Pokemon in the "Sent" portion, like the Japanese version had.

(For the curious, my Pokemon Dream World name is Pokerika. Because obvious name is obvious.)
