Pokemon Thread

First topic message reminder :

You know me and my obsession with Pokemon. Obviously this was going to happen.

So, who wants those Ruby and Sapphire Remakes?

Hoenn was the last region to have a fire started that I liked. I used to always pick the fire starter until Diamond and Pearl, where I chose that stupid monkey and ended up resetting the game just to pick something else.

Now that I think about it, I've gotten into the habit of boxing my starter now in my games because of that game. I only liked Piplup, the penguin, but whatever water type I have gets turned into an HM slave. And in gen 4 and 5, those are the only starters I like.

I'm getting the grass starter in gen 5 so I can get the water monkey 'cus I like it.

To be honest the Only starter I have liked since Johto has been Turtwig...

I ended up choosing Turtwig in Platinum. I wish Oshawott didn't have that... whatever it is as it's fully evolved form. It could have been so cool if it kept it's previous look.

I feel that way about the new electric spider, first form I want to hug it it looks so cute... then it evolves and looks more like a spider... I am afraid of spiders, so you can get my thoughts on that.

The little baby spider is just so cute and tiny I just want to hug it.

I'm partial to bug types anyways.

I don't mind most bugs... Just spiders ... and bees *bad memories are to blame there*

Yeah, you guys got those wasp things that spit acid and are the size of a thumb, yeah? That is part of the reason I don't want to leave my state. Or house. Everywhere else has crazy evil things, like my area has rattle snakes and black widows.

Call me Insane ... But I actually like snakes, If i can identify them. Black widows give me nightmares ...

Come to Germany, Mimi. The most dangerous animal we have here is the dreaded Hedgehog.

We don't have those here. I think the rattle snakes ate them all.

Oh rattle snakes... Yea, I am not a fan of the posinoius snakes.

Well, on a side note I've lived here for a total of ten years and I've never seen one, so...

Of course, I hate leaving my house.

Anyway, it is a shame all the snake Pokemon are Poison Type.

I want my fire snake.

You know there are two pokemon I want to see, A junk Golem with they types "Steel/Ghost" and a Dragon with they types "Fire/Ice" maybe even a special move relating to that. :) Actually I had designed a fake pokemon like that, even a pokedex entry detailing how unlike normal fire, the flames of this pokemon decrease the surrounding temperature.

Hm, that'd be cool, it'd have a Fire type move that had a chance to freeze the oponent instead of burning it.

And I forgot the 5 Gen Grass Starter is a snake.

It is a grass snake thingy. Apparently. I think it gets more snakey as it evolves.

I thought it looked like a lizzard at first...

Snakes are basically lizards without limbs, so...

Well, anyway, I want that water monkey even though I hate monkeys.

I like spiders. (Not even just when pretending to 8e Vriska!)

I haven't decided who I want as my starter when I get a Gen V game. 8luh.

And I like Hoenn too.

The new Ground/Ghost is actually a sort of junk golem (not sure why he's a Ground type, though).

I love Ghost-types (except for the pure Ghosts and Ghost/Darks, they don't really do it for me, and Shedinja isn't very good), so Black and White make me happy. New team: Gengar, Froslass, Rotom, Drifblim, the Fire/Ghost Lantern thing, and the Ground/Ghost dude. I might work in the jellyfish Water/Ghost, too, but I've never been a fan of Water types. I'm getting Black, but a friend that's getting White has agreed to trade legendaries. He likes nature-type stuff, I prefer technology, so it works out for us, as far as the version differences go.

So I am not the only one who dilsikes monkeys ? I prefer tech, but how is that a version difference ?

Version Black has Black City, while Pokemon White has White Forest. Version exlucive locations.

Infernape served me pretty well, I like Fighting types, but I prefer Blaziken (even though, statistically, Infernape is superior).

So, what's everyone's favorite Pokemon?

My favorite Pokemon, in no particular order (excluding Gen 5, I'm reserving judgement until I get the game), are the various Ghost types mentioned earlier, Blaziken, Golem (I didn't start really liking him until I realized that I used one in pretty much every generation and he was always a great asset), Magnezone, Porygon Z, Gardevoir, Gallade, Chatot (the only Normal/Flying type I got any use of), Kricketune, Shiftry, Hitmonchan, Alakazam, Castform, Lucario, and Scizor (I especially like Scizor, he's totally awesome).

Always been a fan of Onix(not as much Steelix, though he's still pretty good overall.), I also like Spearow, Gyarados, and almost always start with the Fire Starters first.

If we're including legendaries, Giratina is my a8solute favorite, especially in Platinum going through the Distortion World........ SO AWESOME.

In general I tend to like Ghost, Dark, Psychic, and Dragon types, especially Rotom, Um8reon, A8sol, Espeon, the Ralts evolutionary line, Dragonair (which I like more than Dragonite for some reason?), 8agon's evolutionary line, Froslass, and Drif8lim. I also love Ninetales (also happens to be my favorite shiny Pokemon), Gyarados, and Luxray. I have a lot of favorites, and I can already tell there will 8e some in the fifth gener8tion that I'm going to love.

As for starters, in Kanto I tend to go with 8ul8asaur, in Johto I go with Cyndaquil (my favorite starter overall), in Hoenn I use Mudkip (8ecause I like Swampert), and in Sinnoh I went with Turtwig, so I tend to mix it up as to which type I use. Not sure whether I am going to go with Oshawott or Snivy when I get Gen V; I like Oshawott's 8ase form 8ut I like the evolutions for Snivy.

Heh, Vriska talk is funny. And I don't see a reason why legendaries aren't chooseable. I also having a liking for Scyther and Togepi. And Persian.
