You think EA's bad, get a gander at Activision. At least EA has been trying to be less evil recently (for example, Bioware is as great as ever).
But yeah, I don't plan on being bought out by anyone.

Re: Testing 123
Bioware's games are good, yes, but they're not perfect. Sonic Chronicles, for example, was fun, but the controls weren't that usable for a lot of people.

Sonic Chronicles is an rpg. Just a hybrid action one. You play a type of mini-game to use special moves. Worst concept ever.

Re: Testing 123
Sonic Chronicles was indeed an RPG, for the DS. It was a whole lot better than what Sonic Team had been making at the time.
There were some flaws, though. Iffy controls, bad music (though the sound effects were mostly pretty good), and an anticlimactic final boss. Still, I'd recommend it to Sonic fans who like RPGs.
EDIT: The action commands for attacks is not nearly as bad as Hydro says. If you liked Elite Beat Agents, you'll enjoy it quite a bit.

Its action commands for a regular part of the game. It's the same as required badly controlled mini-games. And most people want easy to do action commands for special moves. Unless you're playing Street Fighter.

Re: Testing 123
I was fresh off Elite Beat Agents, so I'm not one to judge. Sonic Chronicles' action commands were literally identical to a short round of EBA, except not quite as good. It hardly ruins the game.

If you have a stylus and good motor skills. I'm more of a classic gamer that prefers the D-pad or Control stick(or both) and some buttons. Some games do it okay, like Super Mario 64 DS.

Re: Testing 123
Well, the DS and Wii wound up reaching that blissful place where the third-party developers realized that they didn't need to use the touch screen or motion controls as a large part of the game. That's why we have gems like No More Heroes (it used motion control a little bit) or all manner of excellent DS games. So people who aren't into that stuff don't need to bother with it.

Re: Testing 123
I remember when games didn't need specialized controls. It's not as fun as people think overall. The problem is that these controls don't actually work well most of the time. Twilight Princess' were unresponsive in many ways. Brawl's worked fine.(but most use the GameCube or Classic Controllers anyway.) So did Mortal Kombat: Armageddon's.

Re: Testing 123
Games with specialized control methods are just like other games. Sometimes they're good, with tight controls, sometimes they're not.

No problem, Sunova. All I really did was copy you to finish it. You did most of the frame work. If I didn't have someone to copy, I'd probably never get it done right.

Well, thanks. Let me know if anything else is needed, we have room for one more field for each character, plus two ones that they can share.

Alright, that works. And we have room for two more stats, if anyone can think of one we might want to add.
