Well, I figure Tropers are at least more likely to have things in common with me. My interests include pretty much all forms of media. On a trope page, the only two sections that don't interest me are "Sports" and "Professional Wrestling". So, if I can at least meet someone into the same types of things I like, I can work to familiarize myself with some of her specific interests, and she with mine, and then bam, we have common ground.
And since you brought it up, I guess yeah, I have to admit that I am a little concerned with looks, but I'm not all that superficial when I think about it (although I do worry about that). I mean, I just want a somewhat slim (not necessarily skinny) girl with a pretty face.
And trust me, Sunova, I'm no stranger to shyness. I use such grandiose titles as "Mister Awesome" because it makes me feel more confident.

Ah, you'd hate me, then. I'm 6'2" (a little under 200 cm), 180-200 lbs (dunno how many kgs). I'm usually the tallest person in the room, to the point where I identify heavily with being the tallest guy I know, so that I'm actually uncomfortable standing next to people that are taller than me (it happens very rarely, I'd probably get over it if it happened more often).
I'm now realizing how silly I must look whenever I act shy. I'm so tall and I'm not exactly thin. But I've been acting less shy lately, trying to be bold and courageous like my favorite anime characters.
