In a messy apartment building that smelled vaguely of cheese, Shinji Ikari, a somewhat awkward, 21 year old writer, had just done acid with his friends, Toji Suzuhara, who was a basketball player until an accident left his legs unusable, Kensuke Aida, a bookworm who seemed to envy most of the people around him, Asuka Langley Sohyru, a German woman whom Shinji has known since his youth (very abrasive, too), and Rei, an emotionally detached woman who Shinji swears could be his sister. He thinks that someone named Kaworu might have joined in the middle of it, but he can't be sure, considering his head isn't very clear right now.
He woke up feeling like complete shit, without a shirt on top of that, and noticed that he had, in his hands, a script. He put on his glasses, and started to read through it. The script was simply labeled "Evangelion", which he had been working on for a long time. He had intended it to be a hard-hitting mecha series that pointed out the logical flaws of such franchises, along with the psychological issues that pertained the characters. He was going to send the script to his editor.
...But decided after that acid trip of his, it wasn't worth it, tore it up, and just sent a backup of another script to his editor.
His only words as he read that script to the last sentence?
"I'm so messed up."
