Combat between the forces of the PDF and Republic of Gori has been ongoing for nearly four months. However, today, a new threat is due to appear. Into the scene enter three pilots with the PDF, on a routine survey mission.

Prologue: But, I'm not a pilot!

Aboard the Arcana, in the briefing room:

Captain Moses Hikari: "Okay, our intel reports that some Gori troops should be in the area. There's a small town nearby, though, so try to avoid collateral damage."

The captain looks pointedly at the gynoid sitting to his right, knowing fully that her mech is primarily built for heavy artillery bombardment.

"Now, seeing as how two of the... *looks irritated at the low number* three pilots assigned to this ship haven't seen any real combat before, I'll take a few minutes to make sure everyone is clear on standard operating procedure and their specific orders."

He falls silent and looks across the table.


Meanwhile, in the aforementioned small town, a young man is hanging about his room when he notices an unfamiliar object, a small golden cylinder...

Lee: ...........Die.

Lee slashes with a surgeon's precision, guided by the ID System. Sparks fly out as the power cords are severed, and the Gaki powers down. It will not move again anytime soon.

Lee: -breathes a sigh of relief, composing himself at the suit shuts down and quickly turns to see three attacks heading his way- ...Keep calm...Don't panic...You can do this...

Lee dodges another volley of bazooka shells that burst in midair.

Lee blinks as the projectiles zoom by him and simply focuses on the enemy, keeping calm as he plans his next move, but remains silent, not wanting to interrupt his ally.

The shells slam directly into one of the Gakis, passing through to its power plant, destroying the entire torso section, leaving its remaining limbs to scatter about the area.

Jacob chastised himself. How the hell did those lasers NOT get through? Sighing, he decided to just open fire with his Streak SRM-6 burst launcher.

"Here's hoping they lock on..." There was a boosh and six high-power short-range rockets streaked out of the Firewolf, headed straight for a Gaki.

(6+4+5+2=17. No comment.)

As one missile sails past the enemy Gaki, five others crash into it. The pilot is barely able to eject as his mech falls to the ground, wrecked.

"And of course the missiles are always the ones to kill things."

The battle seemed to be drawing to it's conclusion as the enemy numbers. There were only...how many Geki left standing...? Only a few, as far as Lee could tell. ...In either case, he simply readied the Brilliante for another attack, still focusing on the main threat.
