WAOA: A Tale Of A General

First topic message reminder :

-A portal opens in the middle of nowhere. A rover moves through and looks around for a few seconds. This is followed by a man in CADPAT gear, who doesn't look older than 21, weirdly. He looks around, hefting his SCAR-A1 assault rifle.-

General Scott Mitchell: Well... not sure where we are, but the air's breathable. -reaches for radio- This is Mitch, we're A-okay. The rover's not lying, we've got an inhabitable environment here. Let's get our stuff through.

(OoC: Unlike the last RP I started, anyone can join.)

Lilith had a twitchy eye. "That's humor?"

"...Yep. Mitchy has a wierd one, but I wouldn't want it any other way!" Cirno smiled and hugged Mitch.

Mitch hugged back. "That's not the funniest it gets."

Roland piped in, "Hopefully it isn't the funniest you can come up with."

With that, Mitch grew a very dark smile. And Mordecai turned to Roland. "You probably shouldn't have said that."

The incoming argument was stopped by Mitch saying, "Okay, here we are." The base camp was small, with a few watch-towers and a tank, plus three APCs and several turret guns. "We've got four unidentifieds next to you and Cirno, are those the new arrivals? Over." Mitch unclipped the radio. "Roger that base command, they're the new arrivals. Over and out."

Lilith made sure to put her gun away before saluting, ready.

Cirno shrugged and saluted as well, just to go along with it. :D

After a few seconds, another message came through the radio. "I've informed everyone else about the new arrivals, General. You're free to enter."

With that, Mitch moved forwards past the tank and into the small encampment. Roland, Brick, and Mordecai followed.

Cirno and Lilith quickly followed suit.

"Interesting place..." Lilith nonchalantly said.

"Just wait till you see the bunkers! Right, Mitchy?"

"..."

Mitch sighed. Roland laughed. Mordecai smirked. Brick said nothing. A few soldiers came close to wetting themselves at the sight of Brick. All in all, this was gonna be one long day.

Mitch then approached the portal. Just to cap it off, Mordecai played the Cpt. Obvious card. "Is that a portal?"

Mitch nodded. Roland was in awe. "Cool..."

Cirno just stuck out her tongue.

"...Huh. Haven't seen a portal in quite some time..." Lilith said.

Mordecai nodded. "At least not one of these portals. The only ones I've seen are the Fast Travel wormholes."

With that, Mitch stepped through the portal, entering what looked to be the entrance area of a large bunker.

Cirno and Lilith quickly followed.

"...Neat."

"I love a good portal in the morning!" Cirno giggled out.

Roland looked at Cirno. "That didn't make sense."

Mitch nodded. "There is not much to this place."

"It's exactly what I said. In the morning, it's fun going through portals."

"...Okay... yeah, true. But it works." Lilith replied.

Mitch nodded. "I built it over the better part of the year and I had to test it several times first. Might make it into a gun... who knows? Anyways, wander around, don't go into the restricted areas, but other than that, have fun. No killing either."

"Damn." Lilith responded.

"Atleast don't kill those that can't come back..." Cirno added.

Mordecai looked at Lilith. "You were really looking forward to killing all the people here? Lilith, you're more sadistic than Brick." Brick snorted with laughter.

"No, I'm just annoyed that I'm not allowed to kill anything, that's all."

Cirno facefaulted.

Mitch looked at Lilian. "There's nothing around here TO kill. I mean, there is a firing range, but other than that you can't fire weapons."

Roland, Mordecai, and Brick mobbed Mitch for the firing range info, to which Mitch pointed at the sign.

Lillian snuck away.

"Oh. I guess this place is a little boring then. Good thing there's a firing range..."

Cirno got up. "Uh-huh..."

In the meanwhile, the other three were at the firing range. Brick was told to put his rocket launcher down.

Mordecai and Roland were free to practice with their weapons.

What should catch Lilith's eye is a rack of SCAR-A1s along the wall of the firing range.

Lilith looks and stares long and hard at the gun rack.

Cirno got to relaxing instead.

Mitch ended up relaxing with Cirno.

Mordecai and Roland, as usual, got into a sniping competition. Mordecai was easily winning by a mile, when soldiers began to place bets on who would win.

Lilith finally decided to stop staring at the big rack, and went up to it. "Nice..."

Cirno giggled and hugged Mitch. "So, are they going to be new recruits, or... what?"

Mitch shook his head. "They're probably more useful to us as liaisons. They're better out of it.

A soldier walked up to Lilith. "I see you like the SCAR-A1s. I trust my life with one of those things, and practically everyone on base has one. These are just for training."

"Perhaps, Mitchy. Perhaps."

"I do. They're big, and shiny, and awesome..." Lilith composed herself once more. "Where are the real ones?" :D

The soldier gave Lilian a quizzical look. "Don't go insane, but those are the real ones."

"You said they were practice ones, so I thought..." She grabbed one, a wide grin still on her face. "Now this is the type of big gun I like!"

The soldier nodded. "Just try not to fire it on full-auto, it puts out shitloads of recoil."
