-October 3: Gensokyo's Hakurei Barrier was collapsed, exposing it to the outside world. Danmaku, a powerful magical weapon, has been weakened, same goes for the Youkai. Relations between human and youkai started off neutral but as the weeks goes by, both sides turned hostile, a war ensured.
-November 15: A Batarian invasion force arrived at Earth then attacks it along with Luna mainly to gather slaves, starting the One Week War (or the First Contact War). Sharing a common foe, the humans and youkai stopped fighting then form an alliance to defeat the Batarians. Lasting only a week, it ended in victory for the newly formed allied forces with the help of the Lunarians.
-November 22: The One Week War ended, with the existence of extra terrestrials revealed to Earth, major governments started multiple space programs to take on the final frontier.
-November 29: Gensokyo was recognized as an independent nation by the United Nations. Human and youkai relations has been improved.

-September 21: The first modern human/youkai hybrid was born, signaling the first human/youkai baby boom.

-March 2: *Reimu Hakurei is now a grandmother with the birth of her granddaughter, Asuka Hakurei.

-July 20: Armstrong Outpost at Shackleton Crater is formally founded as the first human settlement on Luna, on the 100th anniversary of the first lunar landing. It is also an UN embassy in order to improve a relationship with the Lunarians under the Treaty of Hourai.

-The Far Eastern Space Agency's Nitori City in Eos Chasma becomes the first permanent human/youkai settlement on Mars.

-July 10: Nazrin and a few others discovers a small cache of highly advanced Prothean technology hidden deep beneath the surface of Mars on the south polar region of Promethei Planum. Building on the remnants of this long extinct race, Earth quickly explore the science of mass effect fields, leading to the development of faster than light travel and beginning detailed exploration of the Sol system.

-Following information from the translated data cache on Mars, humans discover a piece of Prothean technology, a mass relay, used by the Batarian invasion force. Once activated, Jon Grissom and Fumiko Hakurei leads the first team of explorers through the relay, which instantaneously transports them to another relay in Arcturus, 36 light-years away. The explorers discover that the mass relays are part of a vast network, making travel across the galaxy possible.
-The Systems Alliance charter is signed by the eighteen largest nations on Earth. The Alliance soon becomes the military and exploratory spearhead of the Earth based races.

-The Systems Alliance begins the first surveys for colonization prospects outside the Sol System. One of these surveys discovers the planet Terra Nova.
-To defend its expanding territory, humanity begins constructing a massive military fleet and space station at Arcturus, the nexus of several key mass relays, even though they have yet to encounter another intelligent spacefaring race.

-Earth's Surface Population: 9.6 billion (2.1 billion Human/Youkai Hybrids, 6.5 billion Pure Humans, and 1 billion Pure Youkai) L4 and L5 stations Population: 250, 000 (50, 000 Human/Youkai Hybrids, 170, 000 Pure Humans, and 80, 000 Pure Youkai)
-An accident at Singapore International Spaceport exposes hundreds of the inhabitants to dust-form element zero. Roughly 30% of the children born in Singapore after element zero exposure suffer from cancerous growths. After his mother is exposed during the accident, Kaidan Alenko is born later that year with biotic potential. Same for her mother, Rosa Kirisame was born 3 years later also has biotic potential.

-Shepard was born as a Hybrid.
-The First Contact War: The System Alliance makes violent first contact with another spacefaring race: the turians. The turians observe the SA explorers attempting to activate a dormant mass relay, a practice forbidden by galactic law after the Rachni Wars, and attack. Over the next three months, a brief but tense conflict known by Systems Alliance as the Shanxhi War and by turians as the Relay 314 Incident ensues.
-The Lunar Capital reluctantly joined the System Alliance out of pressure of being forcibly annexed from all sides.
-An anonymous extranet manifesto is published following the end of the First Contact War. The manifesto calls for an army, a "Cerberus", to be established to defend humanity against inevitable alien attacks, prove that youkai and the Hybrids are devolving humanity as a whole, and put them in their place. Derided as "survivalist rhetoric written by an illusive man", the manifesto is quickly forgotten by the media.
-Months after Cerberus' extranet manifesto, several wolf tengus were missing from their homes at Neo Gensokyo, a youkai dominated colony world. Cerberus sends a message to Neo Gensokyo to cut ties with the Systems Alliance. However, they never heed the warning but minor incidents and disappearances occur at the colony world for years to come.

-Systems Alliance Ambassador, Terry Thompson, a Hybrid was assassinated by Cerberus. Kanako Yasaka became the new Systems Alliance Ambassador.
-There been been news reports that several turians has gone missing in Neo Gensokyo. The Shadow Broker then leaked information to the extranet that the youkai dined on turians and they considered more of a delicacy compared to human meat. turian and youkai relationship soon declined after that, resulting in a stronger prejudice to youkai than to the humans or even the Hybrids.

-An assassination attempt on Yukari Yakumo failed, her assassins were later never to be seen again. Some say Cerberus is behind this attack.

-Geth led by rogue Spectre Saren Arterius attack the Citadel, ensuing in a battle that cost thousands of lives.
